The children participate each Sunday in a Children’s Message delivered during the church service. The children’s time in church is spent with relevant timely topics in congruence with the church calendar that relate to the scripture that the adults are studying, but at a child’s interest level. The children’s messages are delivered when the children come to the front of the church and sit on the steps. Children are frequently involved with the message through props and puppetry. At the conclusion of the Children’s Message the children are dismissed to attend Sunday school and Nursery.
The nursery is available to children each Sunday so that parents can enjoy their experience in church while their infants received quality childcare.
A multi-aged Sunday class is available each Sunday for children to participate, during the Church service. The children are taught by experienced Sunday school teachers using a nationally recognized Christian curriculum that follows the church liturgical calendar. We are excited at the prospect of expanding our Sunday school as our need for youth education grows.
Again this year we will have a Confirmation Class at Trinity Church. As children and infants we are dedicated to Christ their parents and sponsors promise to raise their children in a Christian environment and bring their children to church and Sunday school on a regular basis. Confirmation is the affirmation of baptismal covenant. Through baptism infants and children entered the worldwide community of the Christian church. In confirmation the children affirm their beliefs. Children have the opportunity give themselves wholeheartedly to and seek to know God’s will for their life. The word confirm means “to make firmer or stronger”. The bottom of the bulletin each Sunday we print this statement. “If you are interested in becoming a member of Trinity Church, have questions about your salvation or would like someone to pray with you, please see the Pastor following today’s service.” This statement is explored with the confirmands as to its meaning for them.
To enter the confirmation class children must be in at least the 5th grade or older. This class will meet during the school week at the parents convenience.
