For a small rural church with a small congregation, we are very proud to have (3) four servicemen serving our Country.  All of these fine young men are children of menbers of our congregation.  Our prayers are with all of you.

Sgt. David Tomas
(Son of Maurice & Ruby Prasatik)

Sergeant David Tomas, son of Maurice and Ruby Prasatik has completed a 15 month tour of duty in Iraq.   He received (2) two prestigious medals from the U. S. Army.  David was awarded the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Metal for heroic actions during Operation Iraqi Freedom

Tomas was assigned to a gun truck platoon a part of Company A, 325th Brigade Support Battalion.  He was recognized for his actions in assisting a combat medic rescue and treatment of injured soldiers from a downed aircraft.  His actions were keeping with the finest traditions of military heroism, according to the Army.

David is presently on his way to Iraq.  He and his wife, Monica, became the parents of a beautiful boy.   His name is Garrett Tomas.  He weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz.  Our prayers are with him and his family.

David has returned and is stationed in Lawton, Oklahoma. He is hoping that he will not be called up for deployment to Afhanistan.


              

                  

Lance Corporal William Gilliam has returner from his deployment to Afghanistan. We are very proud to have him back safe and sound. He is now stationed at Camp Pendleton, Ca.
